Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about custom automation machines, cost, lead time, customisation and support in Malaysia.

Xtrotech is a Malaysian company that designs and builds custom factory automation machines — including assembly, feeding, vision inspection, laser marking, processing and testing systems — for manufacturers in automotive, electronics, glove and packaging industries. Established in 2004, it is based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Xtrotech is at No. 11, Jalan Lada Hitam 16/12, Seksyen 16, Shah Alam, Selangor 40200, Malaysia, and serves clients across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Every Xtrotech machine is custom-designed for the client's parts, line layout, cycle time and quality targets. We follow a Consult → Design → Build process and provide testing, support and maintenance.

Cost depends on the operation, complexity, throughput and integration required, so each machine is quoted individually after we understand your process. Share your part, cycle time and volume with our engineers for an estimate.

Lead time varies with complexity and scope; it's confirmed during the design phase after requirements are locked.

Yes. We assess your current process, cycle time and quality issues on-site, then design automation that integrates with your existing line — from a single station to a full system.

Automotive, electronics, packaging, glove manufacturing and FMCG, among others, across Malaysia and the region.

Yes. We provide testing, installation, ongoing support and maintenance, and we build machines for long service life to minimise downtime.

Assembly, feeding & loading, machine-vision inspection, laser marking & labeling, processing (cutting, grinding, forming, inserting, welding) and automated testing systems — all custom-built.

Contact us via the inquiry form, WhatsApp (+6012-2037364), email (sales@xtrotech.com.my) or Tel/Fax (+603-5523 0888). Tell us your process, cycle time and quality issues and our engineers will recommend options.

To quote accurately, it helps to share: the part or product (drawings, samples or photos), the operation you want to automate (assembly, inspection, marking, processing, testing), your target cycle time or throughput, current and target quality/defect levels, available floor space and line layout, and your production volume. The more detail you give, the more precise the proposal and lead time. Send these to sales@xtrotech.com.my or via WhatsApp.

Payback depends on the labour replaced, throughput gained and scrap reduced — so we design every machine around measurable outcomes. Documented Xtrotech projects have delivered roughly 40% faster cycle times, around 99% inspection accuracy and up to ~60% lower reject rates, while removing repetitive manual stations. For most clients the combination of higher output, lower defects and reduced labour drives the payback, and we help you build the ROI case during the design phase.

Yes. Our machines are engineered to fit into existing production lines and can integrate with common PLC and control systems, upstream/downstream equipment, and data logging for SPC and traceability. We assess your current setup before design so the new automation slots into your line rather than disrupting it.

Both. We build anything from a single automated station to fully integrated, multi-process turnkey production lines that combine feeding, assembly, inspection, marking, processing and testing into one continuous flow.

Every machine is tested and commissioned, and we provide installation, operator guidance, a warranty period, ongoing technical support, spare parts and maintenance. Machines are designed for long service life to minimise downtime over many years of shift work.

Yes — it's one of the most common reasons manufacturers come to us. Automating repetitive, strenuous or skill-dependent tasks (welding, grinding, loading, inspection) removes reliance on scarce labour, stabilises quality across shifts, and frees your people for higher-value work.

A local builder means faster on-site assessment, machines designed around your exact parts and line, easier commissioning, local-language support, and quick access to service and spare parts — without import lead times, shipping risk or remote troubleshooting. Xtrotech has built custom automation in Malaysia since 2004 and supports clients across the region.

Reliability is a core design priority. We build machines for long service life in real Malaysian production environments, and documented projects have run at around 98% uptime. Robust mechanical design, quality components and proper commissioning keep machines running shift after shift — not just past warranty.
